I’m originally from El Salvador, the smallest country in all Central America but with a beautiful culture. Navigating the educational system in the United States was a big challenge for me, but I had an amazing support system that help me get through school and received my B.A. from the University of California, San Diego.

My experience as a first-generation student motivated me to help others who are struggling to achieve their higher education goals. Watching students succeed is a very rewarding experience as a Student Affairs Advisor in the Honors Programs. I hope to continue assisting students with their academic goals and empower them to make a positive impact in our communities.

On the days I am not working, I enjoy visiting National Parks, exploring new hiking trails, and discovering new places to eat. I also love spending time with nieces and nephews – oh, and my beautiful cat, Bianca!
