I’m from San Jose, California (The Bay Area)!! I love Physiological Sciences because I can study human anatomy and different circuits in the human body as an undergraduate student, and it’s so much fun and rewarding to understand the content we go through. Outside of classes, I love reading books (big fan of the Festival of Books), going to concerts, and exploring new food spots and cafes in LA!
I love working at the Honors office because the staff are amazing to work with, and it’s always so great to speak with the students that come in and hear about their stories and interests. I feel like I’m perpetually learning from both students and the staff whenever I’m here, and I feel like I’ve grown as an individual throughout my time here.
My favorite quote/philosophy:
“Happiness is like a butterfly; the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder.”
– Henry David Thoreau
It helps ground me in the present and stop thinking that when I achieve my goals in the future, that I’ll be happy and that I can just start by being happy today!
